Friends of Easton Royal School (FERS)

Easton Royal Academy has a wonderful PTA, otherwise known as FERS, which all parents and carers of children at the school automatically become part of when a child starts at Easton Royal Academy. FERS works hard to raise funds for the school in a variety of ways.

Recent examples of how FERS has contributed are as follows:

- New nativity costumes for the annual nativity performances
- Equipment for the Continuous Provision project
- A mud kitchen with its own mud pit
- Two sandpits and play equipment
- Coach trip for a pantomime trip for the whole school
- A contribution to the school’s new website
- The annual Christmas lunch for staff and children, also cooked and served by FERS
- Class iPads

… and lots more!

How can you get involved as a parent or carer?

Everyone who cares for a child at Easton Royal Academy is part of FERS. You do not have to have an official role in order to be part of this great PTA!

There are so many ways in which you can join in and contribute, such as:

- Volunteer your time at events such as Sports Day, Film Nights, School Discos, Fairs, Easter Egg Hunt, Nativity Performances, Ice Lolly Selling and other events
- Join the committee
- Come along to meetings, without the commitment of becoming a committee member
- Donate prizes or services which can be used for raffles or at fairs
- Sign up to the school lottery subscription (which is easy to do via this link: https://www.yourschoollottery.co.uk/lottery/school/easton-royal-academy
- Sign up to Easyfundraising (via https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/eastonroyalacademy/?searchSessionId=6e4eeea1-79a9-4d4d-bf71-cbc927d41994)
- Buy second hand uniform
- Donate unwanted clothes, shoes etc

Any involvement and time you can spare will be hugely appreciated by the school - we all know how busy lives with young children are so the more volunteers we have, the more we can do to raise funds!
