Geography

We have designed our geography curriculum using our curriculum drivers and have therefore created an exciting programme of learning which helps children to learn exciting geographical concepts, applied across a wide range of topics.

We have a number of concepts which children encounter over and over again as they move through the school and take part in different units of study and this helps them to connect their learning experiences and build a strong web of knowledge.

The concepts children will encounter again and again in each unit of study are:

• Physical features and processes
•  Human features and processes
• Climate
• Interdependence and environmental impact
• Location and sense of place
• Scale and maps
